Last night reporters travelled with the first Utopian convoy to Apalar. Forming over HIP 116213, the convoy crossed Kumo space without incident after a surprise declaration promising safe passage. Soon after, ships entered systems held by president Zachary Hudson, the convoy being inspected many times by Federal security. The group then continued onto the crowded system of Apalar. With galactic powers vying for dominance and the threat of piracy, traders were uneasy. Patrolling mercenaries provided a visible deterrent, the most notable being from the veteran Independent Pilots Consortium. After docking at Svavarsson Terminal, it became clear Apalar had become the focus of galactic powerplay. Regional tensions were high as Apalar stood at a crossroads between a bright future and oblivion.
